Built for serious power delivery and durability, this pair of 2/0 AWG DLO battery interconnects uses highly flexible, tinned copper conductors with rugged insulation. Both cables are black for a clean, uniform look, with one red-tagged for positive. Each end is terminated with CSA-listed 3/8 in tinned copper lugs. Rated 195 A continuous and engineered to resist ozone, sunlight, oil, grease, weather, chemicals, and abrasion, this set is ready for inverter to battery hookups and battery bank interconnects.
How this set works with inverters and batteries
Primary inverter leads
- Connect one cable from the inverter’s DC positive to your battery bank positive (through a properly sized Class-T fuse or breaker), and the second cable from inverter DC negative to battery bank negative or a negative busbar. The 3/8 in lugs fit most 48 V inverter and rack battery studs.
Battery bank interconnects
- Use as series or parallel jumpers between batteries and busbars for low-resistance links. The flexible DLO construction reduces strain on battery studs and helps with tidy routing in tight racks.
System voltages and typical sizes
- 2/0 AWG at 195 A continuous is well suited for many 48 V inverter installs up to about 6 kW continuous, and up to roughly 8 kW when cable runs are short and protection is sized correctly. Larger inverters or long DC runs usually require 4/0 AWG. Example 6,000 W at 48 V and 90 percent efficiency draws about 139 A.
Voltage drop and length
- The listed lengths are chosen to keep DC voltage drop low on typical inverter placements near the battery rack. Shorter is always better. If your inverter is more than a few feet from the battery bank, consider upsizing to 4/0 or relocating components.
Use cases
-
48 V inverter to battery connections for cabins, cottages, shops, and off-grid homes
-
Parallel links from rack batteries to common busbars
-
Upgrades from automotive cable to true DLO for better flexibility and heat performance
Compatibility and fit
-
Works with most 48 V inverters using 3/8 in DC studs including EG4, Victron, Magnum, Samlex, and similar
-
Fits common server rack batteries that use 3/8 in studs including EG4 LL-S and comparable units
-
For very high power inverters such as many 10 to 12 kW models, check the manual. 4/0 AWG is typically recommended for the main DC leads

Installation notes
-
Always use a properly sized Class-T fuse or DC breaker on the positive lead near the battery bank. For 2/0 AWG protection, a 200 A device is a common choice when appropriate for your inverter and wire ampacity.
-
Torque all lugs to the inverter and battery manufacturer’s specs and recheck after initial thermal cycles.
-
Keep DC runs as short and straight as practical. Use busbars for multi-battery layouts to ensure even current sharing.
-
If your inverter continuous rating or cable length pushes beyond 2/0 limits, step up to 4/0 AWG.
To serve our customers across Canada, whether you're in a major city or completely off the grid, many of our products are shipped via freight delivery to ensure safe and efficient transport. Depending on your location and the item, you’ll have the option to pick up from a nearby warehouse terminal or request home delivery.
Free Terminal Pickup on Most Large Items
Most large items we sell, including appliances, solar kits, and other freight-shipped products, include free shipping to your closest warehouse terminal.
Your order will be delivered to the nearest terminal based on your location, where you can pick it up at your convenience.
Need it delivered to your home or cabin? We can set that up for you. There is a small additional fee for residential delivery.
Remote and Hard-to-Reach Locations
If you live in a remote area or outside standard freight zones, please contact us before placing your order.
Some rural locations may require additional charges or special delivery arrangements. We'll confirm everything with our freight partner before shipping.
Local Pickup Options Across Canada
We work with warehouse terminals in every province, so many of our products can be picked up locally to save on shipping costs.

Receiving Freight Shipments
For large freight deliveries, you will receive a call from the carrier or your nearest terminal when your order is ready for pickup or delivery.
Important: Always inspect your shipment before signing any paperwork.
If the box or pallet is damaged:
- Do not sign the Bill of Lading (BOL) as "received in good condition"
- Instead, note the damage clearly on the BOL
- Or refuse the shipment if damage is significant
If no damage is recorded and the shipment is accepted, the freight carrier will consider it delivered in perfect condition. In that case, we cannot issue a refund or replacement. This is a strict freight carrier policy and applies to all deliveries.
Damaged or Missing Items
If there’s an issue with your shipment (whether it’s damage, missing parts, or anything unusual) please contact us within 48 hours of receiving the item. Be sure to include photos whenever possible, as these are often required to file a freight claim on your behalf. If the item was shipped to a terminal, it must be picked up within 48 hours or a $45/day storage fee will apply.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Shipping costs back to Canadian Off Grid are the responsibility of the customer and 15% restocking fee will apply.
To start a return, you can contact us atryan@canadianoffgriddepot.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll contact you to discuss options, as well as instructions on how and where to return your item. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
